Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 26, 2026. We wrote this in plain language so you know what happens with your information when you use our website (for example vibein.chat) and our browser extension (Vibe in Chat).

In short

Vibe in Chat helps you use your media on the web. To do that, we need a small amount of information: your account when you sign in, technical data needed to run the service, and—if you use the extension—settings stored inside the extension on your device. We use trusted sign-in (Auth0) for login. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we are

“Vibe in Chat,” “we,” and “us” refer to the service operated at our app and API domains (such as vibein.chat and api.vibein.chat). The extension is a companion to that service.

What information we collect

When you use the website and sign in

  • We use a sign-in provider (Auth0) so you can log in securely. That may include your email address and basic profile details needed to create and maintain your account.
  • When you use features that talk to our servers, we process the data those features need (for example, your media library, plan information, or security settings you open in the app).

When you use the browser extension (Chrome or compatible browsers)

  • The extension keeps certain data in Chrome’s extension storage on your computer only (similar to a small private notebook for the extension). That can include a key that lets the extension call our API on your behalf, your preferences (such as content safety options), and connection details so the extension knows how to reach our app and API.
  • Cookies on our app site: We may set small cookies on our own website’s address so the site and extension can stay aligned—for example, a preference cookie for whether to include sensitive content in lists, or cookies related to keeping your session consistent. These are tied to our domain, not to random websites you visit.
  • On WhatsApp Web, Instagram, and X (Twitter): The extension only runs on those sites because you installed it and those are the supported places where the overlay works. It does not read your full message history or passwords from those sites. It does send data you actively use with the extension to our service—for example, when you search your gallery, pick media, or use attach features—so we can return suggestions, files, or jobs you asked for. Think of it as “what you do with Vibe in Chat,” not “everything on the page.”

How we use your information

  • To provide and maintain Vibe in Chat (web app + extension).
  • To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and fix technical issues.
  • To improve the product in line with this policy and applicable law.

Who we share with

We use service providers that help us run the product—for example, sign-in (Auth0), hosting, and our API. They process data only as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information in the sense of exchanging it for money with data brokers for their own marketing lists.

Your choices and deleting data

  • Website: You can sign out and use in-app settings (for example, Security) to manage keys and connected devices where we offer those controls.
  • Extension: You can remove the extension from your browser at any time, or use the extension’s own disconnect / sign-in flows. That clears extension-side access from your browser’s point of view; account data on our servers may still exist until you delete it through the website or ask us for help, as described below.
  • For account deletion or other privacy requests, contact us using the information in Contact below.

Security

We use industry-standard protections for data in transit (such as HTTPS) and reasonable safeguards for our systems. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we work to reduce risk and respond to issues when we learn of them.

Children

Vibe in Chat is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. For important changes, we may also notify you in the app or by email where appropriate.
